Basket of Wonders – Creating A Paper Flower Basket

Basket of Wonders - Creating A Paper Flower Basket

Flower Bouquets are something that everyone likes to see. It’s a collection of flowers arranged in such an appeasing and beautiful way.

But there are times where even bouquets can be restricting. Sometimes you just want to see something different. Something handy. Something that you can even easily hold onto and place anywhere without much issue.

And so, we have conceptualized a Paper Flower Basket! Not only can you create one yourself, but it is also simple enough to resemble a woven rattan basket. The basket has a bowl-like shape to make your flower bunch look fuller. It comes with a sturdy handle, so you are able to carry the basket full of flowers, and maybe even all sorts of other knick-knacks!

You can get this template at Etsy!

See? It’s quick and easy to follow! Now you can make your own paper flower basket!

Not only that, but you can also use the paper flower basket for more than just flowers. You can put easter eggs on it for Easter, or even tiny fruits and berries for a berry basket! Whatever it is, it would surely look more cuter with a handmade paper basket made especially by you. ^^

After cutting up the necessary items from the SVG file, the woven basket pattern must be glued to the vellum paper pieces, making sure that every nook and cranny is glued onto it, so it won’t fall off once it’s all done.

Then, fold up the pieces just like in the picture below, in order to make a frustum pyramid (or simply a basin, for the non-shape nerds out there).

Afterwards, prepare your eyelet setter (or puncher) and two of your crop-a-dile eyelets for the next step. The pieces have three flaps across each other. Take the handle piece and attach it behind Flap B, then cover the back of the handle piece with Flap C and Flap A, respectively. Take your eyelet and attach it towards the holes, then punch it in with the setter. Repeat the same steps with the other side.
